about laura
Laura is a proud mother of three and grandmother to seven healthy, energetic and delightful grandchildren. She has always had a love of water and a lifelong passion for swimming. She believes this was nurtured by her parents who lived at the sea side and took her on regular daily dips throughout the year.
Very early, she became a keen swimmer and competed at school and provincial level before joining an American water ballet team as a synchronised swimmer in 1964. This led her into a vocation of teaching and coaching swimming.
Unquestionably, Laura has dedicated her life to facilitating swimming competency for the old and the young. She transfers her love of water to all.
She says that her purpose in life was clearly defined by coincidences and synchronicities which guided her in the expansion of her work. She is passionate about what she does and hopes to continue for as long as she is able.
Laura is the author of ‘Practically Swimming’ a guide for parents and ‘The Baby Spa book’ which has just been published.
“From start to finish, our time at Baby Spa was relaxing and stress free. Our baby had the most amazing time and slept so well that night!”
